Boaters like to hold onto a lot of stuff "just in case". Sasha and I break the trend and throw things out or give them away often as we move from one project to another. One thing we have a hard time parting with is line. You never know when an old halyard or dock line will come in handy - especially during hurricane season. We keep most of our spare line (and three spare anchors) in a storage unit on land. Because we tend to track storms more than a few days out we have time to load up when needed.
Post Gonzalo, it took a few days to dry all the line before trucking it back to storage.
